Club 3000 Bingo Bristol will have a new home, not too far from our current club at Knowle’s Broadwalk Shopping Centre.

It’s on Hartcliffe Way, about two miles from our current site, with great existing bus services and a large car park with 144 spaces proposed, including dedicated spaces for blue badge holders.

We think our thousands of customers would agree it’s been fantastic. But, as everyone knows, the ageing shopping centre will soon be closing and is set to be redeveloped.

We’ve been at the Broadwalk Shopping Centre for the past 12 years.

We’re talking to the owners to see how long we can keep our doors open at Broadwalk - and will let everyone know when we have more details.

But, in the meantime, we’d like to tell you about our new, state-of-the-art club...and we’d love your feedback.

The New Site

The site is at 37 Hartcliffe Way. It’s currently a vacant industrial site that we have now bought, ready to redevelop. As you can see from the plan, there are other commercial buildings around us as well as homes to the north.

What We're Proposing

While we love our Knowle bingo club, having a new site means we can build a state-of-the-art Club 3000 Bingo venue for Bristol, which will give our customers an enhanced bingo experience. As well as a brand new venue, we will have quality food and bars for our customers and continue to offer big prize money.

The new club will be very much like the photo shown, which is the bar area from our club in Cardiff.

You’ll be able to see from the 3D plan, there is a single vehicle access directly off Hartcliffe Way where the speed limit is 30mph. As well as ample parking, we are proposing extensive landscaping to bring some greenery and biodiversity into the site, but to also screen the car park to minimise the impact on our new neighbours. We’ve positioned the building within the new site so it is away from the nearby homes on Wimborne Road and Hastings Road.

This illustration shows what the new bingo club would look like…we think it looks fantastic!

Getting to The New Site

Many of you live quite close to 37 Hartcliffe Way. But we also appreciate for others this will be further from your homes.

As well as ample parking, there are excellent existing bus services and a signal controlled pedestrian crossing just 25 metres from the Hartcliffe Way entrance.

The Vale Lane bus stop is located approximately 120 metres away, while the Highbury Road stops are around 160 metres away.

The stops are served by the 76 and P1 bus routes. The 76 service runs at 30-minute intervals, seven days a week. The P1 service offers four daily services to Felton, via Bedminster. Parson Street Railway Station is also located approximately 500 metres northeast of the site.

There is a cycle lane along Hartcliffe Way which routes directly in front of the new site.

So, hopefully, our customers should find it relatively convenient to get to the new club.

When Will This Happen

We are nearly ready to submit our planning application, though welcome your comments before we do.

We are seeking to work with Bristol City Council to get our application approved as soon as possible. Then we’ll be ready to get onsite and start building the new bingo club. This will, of course, take some time.

Our best estimate is at least 18 months, possibly two years or so, before our new club is open. As we say, we are currently in discussions with the owners of Broadwalk about how long we will be able to remain in Knowle. But there is going to be a period during which we are closed.

During that time we want to stay in touch with our customers. In the meantime you can play bingo online or travel over the Severn Bridge to see us at Cwmbran and Cardiff.  We will be offering free transportation two nights a week.

We really appreciate and value our customers, many of whom we know personally.
