We really do love sharing all the big wins with you as they happen but we’re also keen to emphasise that gambling is a particular style of risk taking, and the temptation to try your luck or re-experience an earlier win can be irresistible.
There is no better time than now to drive the conversation and raise awareness of safer gambling.
The key messages that we share are always broadly the same and include the following simple things that you can do to help manage your play:
• Only spend what you can afford.
• Set your limits for both time and money.
• Don’t gamble when you’re angry or upset.
• Don’t let gambling interfere with your personal relationships.
• Gambling is not the answer to any problem and is not a way to support your income.
In all of our clubs, you can always speak to our Managers – they really do care.
Their experience of the industry gives them a real insight into the issues involved.
If you feel that you would like to set yourself limits for how much time and money you want to spend you only need to ask.
Likewise, there is also a similar feature on our online gambling site. You can set a spending limit that will alert you when you’ve reached that limit and can lock you out for a short time. You can also set a time-limit, so even if you haven’t reached your spending limit you will be locked out of the site or you can ask for ‘time out’ that will block your access for a set amount of time.
When we talk about responsible gambling, we're talking about being able to gamble without putting yourself or others at risk of harm. Part of gambling more safely and responsibly is understanding the odds of the game you are playing, what the rules are, and accepting that losing is just as much a part of gambling as winning.
If you lose control of your gambling it will no longer be fun…….and that is the last thing that we want.
Look out for the warning sign as detailed in our Responsible Gambling Guide. Find out strategies to stay in control, speak to our staff if you need to and ensure that you keep having fun and an enjoyable experience at Club 3000 Bingo.
